Support to Katju’s demand to reinstate Aijaz fellowship at DRDO

New Delhi. More than one and half dozen journalists, social workers, human right activists have welcomed Justice Katju’s bold initiative seeking to reinstate Aijaz Ahmed Mirza’s fellowship contract at DRDO.
Arrested in August 2012, on charges that he was involved in a terrorist conspiracy, Mirza has been released after the NIA has excluded him from the charge sheet. But in these six months of his arrest and incarceration, he was not only vilified as a ‘mastermind’ but his Junior Research Fellowship was also terminated by the DRDO.

The terminology of such nomenclature not only gives a feel of discontinuity in Indian History but also sounds as if it has been a history of alien people or civilizations descended from asteroids.

FORUM FOR SECULAR PAKISTAN condemns the attack on the Christians

The Forum for Secular Pakistan has strongly condemned the attack on the Christian Community of Joseph Colony, Badami Bagh Lahore, in which 178 houses of the low-income community, as well as shops and 3 churches were looted and burnt to ashes, the Pastor was attacked and the father of Savan Masih, the youth falsely accused of blasphemy, was beaten up and subsequently arrested.
